About
Allison Duncan was born in Pennsylvania in PA Dutch country. She was homeschooled during her early years, but went on to attend a Baptist high school. After high school, she joined the United States Air Force and served with honor and distinction, eventually separating under a family hardship discharge due to her premature daughter’s birth.
Allison has been blogging since 2001 on such sites as Mindsay.com, Blogger.com, and has been highly active on forums and other such social media. After meeting Brand Gamblin, Allison became interested in podcasting and was motivated to pursue participation in the NaNoWriMo competition.
She began working as the producer for the Calls For Cthulhu webshow and helped take the show to new levels of fan participation and outreach. Spurred on by her success with Brand on the webshow, Allison started the C4C Podcast to keep fans in the loop between the webshow’s episode drops.
Allison, or “Allie” to her friends, narrated the podiobook Tumbler (by BrandG), authored Forest of Manderk (to be podcast shortly), has done voicework for Paulette Jaxton’s The Empress Sword, is a recurring voice on the Quirky Nomads Podcast, and has done voice work for several other podcasters in promotional spots (including J.C. Hutchins).
SVallie has been published in the Marine Corps Times, Stars and Stripes Online, Michael Moore”s NY Time bestseller Will They Ever Trust Us Again?, and several other smaller venues. She is a NaNoWriMo 2009 Winner, a new media maven, and a politically minded activist.
To Allison, a United States Air Force veteran, her greatest roles are as a stay-at-home mom to her daughter; being a partner to Brand Gamblin; and loving on her three wonderful pets.
